Blue Mustang ("Blucifer")

Blue Mustang is a 32-foot-tall blue fiberglass sculpture by Luis Jiménez installed near the entrance to Denver International Airport's Jeppesen Terminal in 2008. The work is notable for its glowing red eyes and for being the subject of controversy; the artist died in 2006 when a section of the sculpture fell on him during fabrication, and the piece drew strong public reactions at the airport. It remains a prominent and debated piece of airport public art.
