Fort Charlotte (Nassau)

Fort Charlotte is a historic British-colonial fort located on a hill overlooking the harbor of Nassau, Bahamas. Constructed in the late 18th century by Governor Lord Dunmore, it was built after the American Revolutionary War but has never seen battle. The fort is a short walk from downtown Nassau and the cruise ship terminal, making it an accessible site for tourists. It stands as one of the few remaining English forts in the area, originally intended to defend against Spanish invasions.
