Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History

Founded by Dr. Charles H. Wright in 1965, the Charles H. Wright Museum is one of the largest institutions dedicated to African American history and culture in the world. The museum's current facility on East Warren Avenue houses the permanent exhibition 'And Still We Rise,' which presents a multi-century narrative of African and African American history, culture, and contributions. The museum also hosts rotating exhibitions, educational programs, and public events focused on Black history.
