Lok Bhavan, Shimla

Lok Bhavan, formerly known as Raj Bhavan and Barnes' Court, serves as the official residence of the Governor of Himachal Pradesh, currently Shiv Pratap Shukla. Located in Shimla, the capital city of Himachal Pradesh, this neo-Tudor timber-framed building has a rich history, originally named after British commander Edward Barnes. It became the Raj Bhavan after the state was established in 1971, following a fire that damaged the previous residence, Peterhoff. Visitors can appreciate its historical significance and architectural style.
