The Peabody Hotel's Duck March

The Peabody Memphis is famous for its daily 'Peabody Ducks' procession in which trained mallard ducks ride an elevator to the hotel lobby and march into the fountain twice daily. The tradition originated in the hotel during the 1930s and has been maintained with formal handlers known as 'Duckmasters.' The ducks and the fountain are a long-running ceremonial attraction drawing visitors to the downtown hotel.
