The Sparton Horn Plant, located in Jackson, Michigan, was an influential factory that operated from 1909 to 2008, primarily producing auto parts and innovative products like the electric car horn. Originally founded as Sparks-Withington in 1900, the company expanded rapidly, contributing to wartime production during World War II and later venturing into television manufacturing. The plant's architectural design featured two concrete structures connected by a steel-framed building, with significant expansions over the years. After its closure, the site faced challenges, including a fire in 2023 that revealed hazardous materials, leading to its eventual demolition in 2025.
