New Richmond station (Wisconsin)

The New Richmond station, known as the Soo Line Depot, is a historic railway station in New Richmond, Wisconsin. Originally built for the Wisconsin Central Railway, it replaced an earlier depot that was destroyed by fire after surviving a tornado in 1899. Designed to be fireproof, the depot served passengers until train services ceased in 1965. In recognition of its historical significance, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1988 and the State Register of Historic Places in 1989, making it an interesting site for tourists and researchers alike.
