Emancipation Park - Juneteenth music site

Emancipation Park was founded in 1872 by formerly enslaved Houston residents as a gathering place for Juneteenth celebrations and has hosted musical performances tied to those commemorations for well over a century. The park remains a focal point for community festivals and live-music programming in Houston's Third Ward. Renovations in the 2010s preserved its role as a cultural and musical gathering space.
