Hedgelawn

Hedgelawn, also known as the Kohl House, was a historic home in New Castle County, Delaware, built in 1856. This L-shaped, 2+1⁄2-story dwelling showcased a blend of Greek Revival, Italianate, and Georgian architectural styles. It was notable for being the residence of William R. Cochran, son of a former Delaware governor. The property included a hipped roof privy and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1973. Unfortunately, Hedgelawn was demolished in 2017 to make way for a motorcycle retail business, following a similar fate as the nearby Summerton Mansion. Despite its loss, the site remains a point of interest for those exploring Delaware's rich history.
