Binion's Horseshoe - site of the early World Series of Poker

Binion's Horseshoe on Fremont Street hosted the World Series of Poker from the event's inception in 1970 through 2004, when the tournament moved to the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino. During that period Binion's poker room and showroom were central to the WSOP's development into a nationally recognized competition. The downtown casino remains a landmark associated with the tournament's origins and poker history.
