Rincon Center (former Main Post Office)

Rincon Center occupies a former U.S. Post Office and federal building constructed in the 1930s on the Embarcadero. The building retains its Moderne/Art Deco exterior while its interior was adaptively reused in the 1980s to create an office and retail complex with an enclosed public atrium. The project is frequently cited as a prominent example of adaptive reuse of a 20th-century federal building in San Francisco.
