Mission San Juan Capistrano burial sites

Mission San Juan Capistrano, another unit of San Antonio Missions National Historical Park, contains a mission-era cemetery and has produced archaeological evidence of human burials. Excavations and site studies have identified burial contexts associated with mission occupation in the 18th and 19th centuries. Documentation of those burials appears in park archaeological reports and collections managed by the National Park Service.
