Lumsden–Boone Building

The Lumsden–Boone Building, located at 226 Fayetteville Street in Raleigh, North Carolina, is a historic commercial structure built in 1896. It is notable for being the only remaining metal-front building on Fayetteville Street. Originally constructed for tin and hardware dealer J.C.S. Lumsden, it later housed C.R. Boone, a prominent clothier known for its inviting slogan 'Come and See'. The building has been recognized for its historical significance, being added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1983, and has undergone renovations in 1985 and 2008. Today, it serves as the office for a web design company, blending history with modern business.
