Pioneer Plaza (Bronze Cattle Drive)

Pioneer Plaza is a downtown public park featuring a large 1994 bronze sculpture by Robert Summers depicting a cattle drive of 49 longhorn steers and three trail riders. The installation is set on a landscaped plaza with limestone and granite to evoke the Shawnee Trail and is maintained by the City of Dallas as a public landmark. The site is a frequently photographed piece of public art and a known downtown green space.
