John Henry Welborn House

The John Henry Welborn House, located in Lexington, North Carolina, was a historic Italianate style home built around 1870. Notable for its two-story 'I-house' design and a distinctive 'L'-configuration, it underwent a Neo-Classical remodeling in the early 20th century. The property also featured a contributing smokehouse. Although it was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1984, the house has since been demolished, marking the loss of a piece of local heritage.
