Weeden House Museum

The Weeden House Museum, located in Huntsville, Alabama, is a historic two-story residence built in 1819 in the Federal architectural style. Originally constructed for Henry C. Bradford, it has a rich history, having been owned by notable figures including Congressman John McKinley. The house served as a refuge during the Civil War for the Weeden family, particularly for the artist and poet Maria Howard Weeden. After changing hands several times and undergoing renovations, it was transformed into a museum in 1981, showcasing its historical significance and the legacy of its former inhabitants.
