Larkin's Hundred

Larkin's Hundred, also known as The Castle, is a historic two-story brick house located in Harwood, Anne Arundel County, Maryland. While traditionally attributed to Thomas Larkin and dated to 1704, it is believed to have been built in the mid-18th century for Captain Joseph Cowman, a wealthy Quaker mariner. The property features a charming white clapboard kitchen wing added in 1870 and a stunning interior with a graceful American walnut stairway. Recognized for its historical significance, Larkin's Hundred was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1969, making it a noteworthy destination for tourists and researchers interested in early American architecture and history.
