Curtis Institute of Music - elite conservatory founded 1924

The Curtis Institute of Music was founded in 1924 by Mary Louise Curtis Bok and is located in Philadelphia's Rittenhouse Square. Curtis admits a very small number of students and is known for awarding full-tuition scholarships to all admitted students. The conservatory has trained numerous prominent classical musicians, conductors, and composers over the 20th and 21st centuries.
