Kennesaw House

The Kennesaw House, built in 1845, is a historic three-story building located in downtown Marietta, Georgia, and serves as the Marietta History Center. Originally a cotton warehouse, it was transformed into the Fletcher House hotel in 1855, where the Great Locomotive Chase began in 1862. Remarkably, it survived the destruction of Sherman's Atlanta campaign and later served as a war hospital. The building underwent significant renovations in 1979 and now features a museum, event rental space, and exhibits that showcase Marietta's rich history, making it a must-visit for tourists and researchers alike.
