UTS Central

UTS Central, located in Ultimo, New South Wales, is a striking architectural landmark at the University of Technology Sydney, housing the Faculty of Law and UTS Library. Opened in August 2019, this modern building features a unique dual design with a twisted 10-level tower and a 5-level podium, connected by an impressive double helix staircase inspired by DNA. The façade is composed of around 3600 glass pieces, creating a visually stunning exterior. Inside, the UTS Library offers expansive reading areas and outdoor terraces, while the Hive Superlab accommodates 270 students with advanced facilities. The building emphasizes sustainability, targeting a 5-star Green Star rating, and includes features like intelligent climate control and recycled water systems. A vibrant food court on level 3 adds to the building's appeal, making it a must-visit for tourists and researchers alike.
