Hyde Log Cabin

The Hyde Log Cabin, located on U.S. Route 2 in Grand Isle, Vermont, is a historic log cabin built in 1783, making it one of the oldest in the United States. This modest single-story structure, constructed from peeled cedar logs, was home to the Hyde family for 150 years. It features a single chamber with a loft and a reconstructed stone chimney. Moved to its current location in 1946, the cabin is now a historic house museum operated by the Grand Isle Historical Society, offering visitors a glimpse into early American life on weekends from May to October.
