Westhorpe Hall

Westhorpe Hall, once a grand manor house in Suffolk, England, was the residence of Charles Brandon, 1st Duke of Suffolk, and Princess Mary Tudor, sister of King Henry VIII. This historic site is notable for its connection to royal history, including the upbringing of Frances, mother of Lady Jane Grey. Princess Mary died here, and her body was held in state for three weeks. Although the hall was demolished in the late 1760s, remnants of its household office remain, now serving as a retirement home, showcasing late 16th- and early 17th-century architecture. Visitors can appreciate the historical significance of the site and its connection to England's Tudor lineage.
