Heilig-Geist-Spital

The Heilig-Geist-Spital, or Holy Spirit Hospital, is a historic site in Nuremberg, Germany, originally established in 1339 to provide care for the ill, elderly, and poor. Notably, it housed the Imperial Regalia of the Holy Roman Empire from 1424 to 1796, including the Holy Lance, which were displayed annually in a ceremonial event. Today, the building, which partially spans the Pegnitz river, has been repurposed as a restaurant and senior home, offering visitors a glimpse into its rich history while enjoying the picturesque surroundings.
