Divinity Hall, Harvard Divinity School

Divinity Hall, constructed in 1826, is the oldest building at Harvard Divinity School, located in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Designed by architects Solomon Willard and Thomas Sumner, it features a distinctive rectangular brick structure with Greek Revival elements. Historically significant, it hosted notable figures such as Ralph Waldo Emerson, who delivered his famous Divinity School Address here. Originally serving as the entire Divinity School, it has evolved over the years to include classrooms and faculty offices. Today, it remains a hub for theological education and includes a beautifully restored chapel organ.
