Justice Court Building

The Justice Court Building, located in Glen Cove, New York, is a historic site built between 1907 and 1909, designed by architect Stephen F. Voorhees. This striking 3-story red brick structure features a steeply pitched roof with green clay tiles and showcases Dutch Colonial Revival or Collegiate Gothic architectural styles. Notable elements include a square bell tower and decorative ceramic-glazed moldings. Originally serving as a court, city hall, and police headquarters, it also housed the Women's Exchange, which provided social services. In 1990, it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places and has since been restored by the North Shore Historical Museum, now functioning as a museum, making it a fascinating destination for tourists and researchers alike.
