Palazzo Corpi

The Palazzo Corpi is a stunning 19th-century building located in Istanbul, Turkey, originally constructed for Genoese merchant Ignazio Corpi by architect Giacomo Leoni. It served as the first U.S. embassy in Europe after being purchased by the United States government in 1907, famously acquired through a poker game. The palazzo transitioned to the U.S. Consulate General until 2003 and is now leased to Soho House, which transformed it into a luxurious hotel and conference center. Visitors can admire its neoclassical design, exquisite Italian marble, and restored frescoes, making it a unique blend of history and modern hospitality.
