Woodland Park Zoo (naturalistic habitats and conservation programs)

Woodland Park Zoo in the Phinney Ridge area features naturalistic, region-themed exhibits such as the African Savanna and Tropical Rain Forest and is accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums. The institution runs conservation, education, and species-recovery programs and maintains a significant collection of mammals, birds, reptiles, and amphibians for public viewing and study. The 92-acre campus is both a recreational destination and a center for wildlife conservation work in the region.
