Sunnyside, also known as Sunnyside Farms, is a historic plantation home located in Woodbine, Maryland. Originally built as a log cabin in 1800 by Capt. Benjamin Warfield's son, Joshua, the home underwent significant expansions in 1830 and 1890. Notably, Albert Gallatin Warfield, who expanded the home, was recognized for his progressive stance on slavery, freeing his slaves at the age of 40. The estate remained in the Warfield family for generations, with the last heir being Albert Gassaway Warfield III. Today, the property is known as Timberleigh Farm, offering a glimpse into the region's rich agricultural and social history, making it an intriguing site for both tourists and researchers.
