John W. Pope Jr. Convocation Center

The John W. Pope Jr. Convocation Center is a vibrant multi-purpose arena located on the campus of Campbell University in Buies Creek, North Carolina. This modern facility, which replaced the smaller Carter Gymnasium, serves as the home for the university's basketball, volleyball, and wrestling teams. It also hosts significant events such as commencement ceremonies and various university functions. Notably, the arena was the site of the 2016 Big South Conference men's basketball tournament and will host key tournament games again in 2019. In November 2023, the basketball court was dedicated to the esteemed coach Wanda Watkins, making it a landmark for sports enthusiasts and visitors alike.
