Laksegade 26

Laksegade 26 is a historic Neoclassical building located at the intersection of Laksegade and Nikolajgade in central Copenhagen, Denmark. Constructed between 1797 and 1798, it stands on the site of properties that were destroyed in the Copenhagen Fire of 1795. The building is notable for its architectural features, including a white plastered facade with a granite foundation, and a distinctive chamfered corner designed for fire department access. A plaque on the facade honors architect Theophilus Hansen, who was born here. The property is protected and remains an important part of Copenhagen's architectural heritage.
