Sun Studio (Memphis Recording Service)

Located at 706 Union Avenue, Sun Studio was established by Sam Phillips and is the recording site of early commercial recordings by artists including Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, and Jerry Lee Lewis. Elvis Presley's first commercial single, "That's All Right," was recorded at Sun Studio in 1954. The studio is recognized for its role in the development of rockabilly and early rock 'n' roll and remains a working studio and tourist attraction.
