James Kinney Farmstead

The James Kinney Farmstead, also known as Country Mile Farm, is a historic site located in Belmont, Ohio, recognized for its significance as one of only four farmsteads on the National Register of Historic Places. Established in 1852, the property features a Greek Revival-style house built in 1863, which has been well-preserved. Visitors can explore the surrounding 57 acres that include various outbuildings such as a smokehouse, summer kitchen, and a timber-frame barn from 1874. The site also boasts a 190-foot loess mound and remnants of the original drovers' road, making it a fascinating destination for those interested in history and architecture.
