Angel Recording Studios

Angel Recording Studios, located in Islington, London, is a historic recording studio that has played a significant role in the music and film industries since its opening in 1982. Originally built as a Congregational chapel in 1888, the building is now Grade II listed and features unique architectural elements. The studio has hosted numerous acclaimed artists, including Adele and Sam Smith, and has been the site for recording soundtracks for famous films like The Lion King and television series such as Downton Abbey. After closing in 2019, it reopened in 2022 under new ownership, continuing its legacy as a premier recording destination.
