Ivy Green

Ivy Green is a historic house museum located in Tuscumbia, Alabama, and is the birthplace of Helen Keller, a renowned author and public speaker who overcame deaf-blindness. Built in 1820, the museum features the main house, a birthplace cottage, and a well where Keller had her first breakthrough in communication. Designated as a National Historic Landmark, Ivy Green offers insights into Keller's life and legacy. Each summer, it hosts outdoor performances of 'The Miracle Worker,' celebrating Keller's story during the annual Helen Keller Festival.
