Iconic Tower (Egypt)

The Iconic Tower, located in the New Administrative Capital of Egypt, stands as the tallest building in Africa at nearly 400 meters (1,300 ft) with 77 floors primarily designated for office use. Inspired by the shape of a pharaonic obelisk, its glass exterior symbolizes the Egyptian god Amun’s Shuti crown. Construction began in May 2018, led by China State Construction Engineering, and was completed in 2024, marking a significant milestone in the development of the new capital city, which features a total of 20 high-rise towers in its central business district.
