South Brook Farm

South Brook Farm, also known as the Charles A. Higgins Estate, is a historic site in East Marlborough Township, Pennsylvania, recognized for its architectural significance and rich history. Originally built in 1717 as a retirement home for Quaker leader Caleb Pusey, the estate showcases Colonial Revival style renovations by architect R. Brognard Okie in the 1940s. Visitors can explore the estate's unique features, including a transformed stable, an English bank barn, and a terracotta silo. Since 1958, it has served as part of the University of Pennsylvania's veterinary medicine complex, making it a notable destination for both tourists and researchers interested in American history and architecture.
