Catholic Faculty of Theology, University of Zagreb

The Catholic Faculty of Theology, established in 1669, is a prominent institution at the University of Zagreb, specializing in philosophical-theological studies. Its origins trace back to the early 13th century with Bishop Stephen II's initiatives. Over the centuries, it evolved through various educational reforms, including the establishment of the Zagreb Cathedral School and the Royal Faculty of Theology. The Faculty has played a crucial role in higher education in Croatia, contributing to the development of theology and philosophy. Today, it comprises four institutes focusing on philosophy, catechetics, theological culture, and church music, making it a significant center for theological education and research in the region.
