Hitsville U.S.A. (Motown Museum)

The house known as Hitsville U.S.A. served as Berry Gordy's original Motown headquarters and primary recording studio from 1959 through 1968. Hundreds of Motown singles and albums by artists such as The Supremes, Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, and the Funk Brothers were recorded there. The site now operates as the Motown Museum, preserving Studio A and exhibits documenting Motown's influence on American popular music.
