Trostrey Court

Trostrey Court is a late 16th century gentry house located in Trostrey, Monmouthshire, built to replace an earlier medieval manor. It has historical significance, having been seized during the English Civil War by General Thomas Fairfax. The estate changed hands several times, notably owned by Valentine Morris in the 18th century and later by the Fluyders, who let it to tenant farmers. Today, it remains a private residence and working estate, owned by the Morgan family. Architecturally, it features a T-plan layout with a remarkable three-storey porch and significant 17th century wood panelling, earning it a Grade II* listing for its historical and architectural importance.
