Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas sign (Betty Willis)

The 'Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas' sign was designed by graphic artist Betty Willis and erected in 1959 on the median at the south end of the Las Vegas Strip. The sign has become an iconic and frequently photographed symbol of the city. Its original design was created by Willis and she did not trademark it; the sign remains a popular public landmark and tourist photo spot.
