Alum Rock Park

Alum Rock Park, established in 1872, is one of California's oldest municipal parks and covers roughly 720 acres in the eastern foothills of San Jose. The park preserves mineral springs and natural riparian habitat along Penitencia Creek and offers an extensive network of hiking trails, picnic areas, and seasonal wildlife viewing. It remains a longstanding outdoor recreation destination for San Jose residents and visitors.
