Hatch Memorial Shell - Boston Pops Fourth of July concerts

The Hatch Memorial Shell on the Charles River Esplanade was constructed in 1940 and serves as Boston's primary outdoor concert shell. It is the longtime site of the Boston Pops' annual Fourth of July concert and fireworks event, which draws large public crowds to the Esplanade. The Shell also hosts free concerts and civic events throughout the year.
