C.S.P.S. Hall (Cedar Rapids, Iowa)

C.S.P.S. Hall, built between 1890 and 1891 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, served as a vibrant social and cultural hub for the Czech-Slovak Protective Society. Recognized for its Richardsonian Romanesque architecture, the hall was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1978 and later became part of the Bohemian Commercial Historic District. Despite suffering damage from the 2008 floods, it was restored in 2011, maintaining its historical charm. Since 1992, it has hosted various artistic events through Legion Arts, and as of 2020, it continues to thrive under the management of a new nonprofit, CSPS Hall, offering a platform for visual arts, theatre, and concerts.
