Wylie Mansion

The Wylie Mansion, built in 1843, was a historic residence located at 10 Thomas Circle in Washington, D.C. Originally constructed for brick-maker Charles L. Coltman, it gained notoriety when Judge Andrew Wylie lived there during the trial of Abraham Lincoln's assassin in 1865. The mansion was destroyed by fire in 1947, leading to its demolition. In 1962, the site was redeveloped into the International Inn Hotel, designed by architect Morris Lapidus, which has since been renovated and is now known as the Washington Plaza Hotel.
