Brady Hotel (Tulsa)

The Brady Hotel, established in 1903 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, was the city's first hotel to offer baths and quickly became a hub for oil men during the oil boom. It was notable for hosting significant political events, including the announcement of Charles N. Haskell's gubernatorial candidacy. The hotel faced fierce competition from the nearby Robinson Hotel, leading to several expansions and upgrades. However, a devastating fire in 1935 led to its decline, and despite attempts to repurpose the building, it was ultimately demolished in 1975 as part of urban renewal efforts. Today, the site reflects the historical significance of early 20th-century hospitality and politics in Tulsa.
