Torvegade 28

Torvegade 28 is an 18th-century building complex located at the intersection of Torvegade and Wildersgade in Copenhagen's Christianshavn neighborhood. This historic site features a four-storey corner building and a three-storey former warehouse, both of which were elevated in 1852. For nearly 200 years, the property was owned by bakers, with a bakery operating on-site. Visitors can admire architectural details such as a sandstone tablet depicting a crowned kringle above the shop entrance, and the complex was officially listed as a protected building in 1982. The site reflects the rich history of the area, having evolved from smaller properties in the late 17th century to a significant bakery establishment by the 18th century.
