Istana Woodneuk

Istana Woodneuk is an abandoned two-storey palace located in the former Tyersall Park near the Singapore Botanic Gardens. Originally built in the mid-1800s, it served as a royal residence and was later rebuilt in 1935. The palace is known for its distinctive blue roof tiles, which differentiate it from the nearby demolished Istana Tyersall. After suffering a devastating fire in 2006, it was deemed beyond repair and is now inaccessible to the public. The site has become a point of interest for ghost seekers and photographers, despite its dilapidated state. In 2025, a land swap agreement transferred ownership of the palace grounds to Singapore, marking a new chapter for this historical site.
