William Boggs Farm

The William Boggs Farm, located in the picturesque Back Creek Valley of Berkeley County, West Virginia, is a historic site that dates back to before 1750. Established by William Boggs, potentially the first settler in the valley, the farm features a 2+1⁄2-story log house with a center hall plan and intricately carved mantels and stairs. The property, which once spanned over 500 acres, was known for its fertile land where cash crops were cultivated. After changing hands several times, it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2001, making it a significant destination for tourists and researchers interested in early American agriculture and architecture.
