10050 Cielo Drive

10050 Cielo Drive, located in the upscale Benedict Canyon area of Los Angeles, was the former home of actress Sharon Tate and the site of the infamous Manson Family murders in 1969. Originally designed by architect Arthur W. Hawes in 1942 for French actress Michèle Morgan, the property featured a luxurious main residence, guest house, and pool, surrounded by lush trees. Over the years, it hosted various Hollywood figures, including Cary Grant and Henry Fonda. The house was demolished in 1994, and the address was changed to 10066 Cielo Drive. Notably, musician Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails recorded part of his acclaimed album 'The Downward Spiral' in a studio set up at the site, reflecting on the complex history associated with the location.
