Salem Tavern

Salem Tavern is a historic museum located in the Old Salem Historic District of Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Built in 1784, it is one of the oldest surviving brick tavern buildings in the United States and was declared a National Historic Landmark in 1964. The tavern served as a vital hub for the Moravian Church community and hosted notable figures, including George Washington during his Southern Tour in 1791.
